Modak Recipe Prepare Dough

There are various steps involved in making a modak. First, we will take 100g besan; then, we will add two spoon semolina in it. Then we will add 50ml of beetroot in it. After adding all these ingredients in the bowl, we will add 2 cups of water. We should keep this mixture for half an hour after mixing it well with a spoon or any other utensil. Then prepare globules with the dough. Add oil to the frying pan. Add the globules of modak in the pan and deep fry it. 

After doing so, We will prepare the sugar syrup. Remember, in the recipe, it is essential to use oven and utensils of a standard size and quality. The ingredients for the sugar syrups are water, sugar, cardamom, cashew.

Steps To Prepare Syrup

So to prepare the sweet syrup, it is essential to maintain the sweetness you should not make the syrup more delicious, it will change the taste of the modak. So first boil the water at 100 degrees Celsius then add sugar according to the palate. Stir the pan well when you are cooking the water with sugar; otherwise, the sugar will stick with the container.

Stuffing Modak Recipe

Add the sugar syrups with a mixture of modak. Leave the paste for half an hour. Wait for some time so that it gets entirely absorbed in the dough. Keep the paste in a dry place. Make sure you don’t overcook it. Modak is liked by children as well. Also, do keep in mind that you cover the bowl well; otherwise, all your effort will go in waste. It is also important to use olive oil as it will give good taste and even healthy for the body. It will hold stuff very well. After doing all these, add kazoo to it and mix it well. You can also add milk for a better taste. Finally, after this, your modak is ready to be served. You can choose to refrigerate it or consume it the way you want. You can shape modak in many ways. It should be in the shape of an onion. It is essential to be sensitive with your hands while giving shape to modak. If the shape of the modak is deformed, then the taste of modak will be affected. 

Other Fillings

You can add chocolate with the stuffing, or you can add nuts also in the filling. You can cook the modak in two ways; either you can fry it, or you can steam it. So the recipe of Modak is very easy to prepare.
