Famous Vegetarian Dishes Recipes with Direction


If you are a Vegetarian and are not assured of many vegetarian dishes then you are in the right article. Here we have some famous vegetarian dishes with directions so you can easily try them at home.

1. Vegetarian chili

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 red pepper, diced

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

1 can (15 oz) corn, undrained

Salt and pepper to taste

2. Vegetable Lasagna Ingredients: 1 package (10 oz) lasagna noodles 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese 1 egg, beaten 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 3 tablespoons parsley, chopped 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 3 cups prepared marinara sauce 2 cups mixed frozen vegetables, thawed (I used a mix of carrots, peas, and corn)

Directions:

1. preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Cook lasagna noodles in boiling water for 8 minutes. Drain noodles, and rinse with cold water. In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.

3. Spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Arrange 6 noodles over sauce. Spread 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture over noodles, and top with 1/2 of the vegetables. Spoon 1 cup marinara sauce over vegetables. Repeat layers of noodles, ricotta cheese mixture, vegetables, and sauce. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.

4. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove foil, and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over lasagna—Bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

3 .Vegetarian enchiladas

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 white onion, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

salt and black pepper to taste

1 (15-ounce) can of black beans, drained and rinsed

1/2 cup prepared salsa

8 (6-inch) corn tortillas

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream, for serving

chopped fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Directions:

1. preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in black beans and salsa.

3. Warm tortillas in the oven for about 5 minutes. Place 2 tablespoons of the black bean mixture down the center of each tortilla, and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Roll up tortillas, and place seam-side down in a baking dish.

4. Bake enchiladas until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 15 minutes. Serve with sour cream and cilantro.

4 . Vegetarian pot pie

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 carrots, peeled and diced

2 celery stalks, diced

salt and black pepper to taste

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

3 cups vegetable broth

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 (15-ounce) can of peas, drained

1 (15-ounce) can of corn, drained

1 recipe pastry for a 9-inch double-crust pie

Directions:

1. preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook until vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes. Stir in flour until well blended. Gradually add vegetable broth and milk, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Stir in thyme, cayenne pepper, and parsley. Add peas and corn.

3. Pour mixture into a 9-inch pie dish. Roll out the remaining dough to a 10-inch circle. Place overfilling. Trim, seal, and flute edges. Cut slits on top of the crust to allow steam to escape.

4. Bake pie in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

5 . Black bean burger

Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups cooked black beans

1/2 onion, diced

1 egg

1/4 cup bread crumbs

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

salt and black pepper to taste

1/4 cup olive oil, divided

4 hamburger buns, split

1 avocado, halved, seeded, and peeled

1 tomato, sliced

4 lettuce leaves

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, mash black beans with a fork or potato masher. Mix in onion, egg, bread crumbs, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper—form mixture into 4 patties.

2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties in the hot oil until browned on both sides and heated through, about 5 minutes per side.

3. Grill or toast buns until golden brown. Spread the cut sides of the buns with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Place a patty on each bun, and top with avocado, tomato, and lettuce leaves.
