In a bowl mash the dal and set it aside. Boil and grate one potato. Now further grate one carrot and finely chop the French green beans and keep it aside. In a pan heat up two tablespoons of oil and add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for a minute and add two chopped onion to it. Sauté the onions for another two minutes or until the onion is translucent and then add grated potato and carrot and cook it for three to four minutes.

Now to the pan add slightly wet and mashed two bread slices, chickpea flour, salt and sugar as per taste. Then add the chopped green chilies, red chili powder stir and then add the mashed dal. Mix well until the mixture is dry and stiff (keep stirring the mixture continuously so that it doesn’t stick to the pan).  Then sprinkle all the dry spices that are chat masala powder, garam masala powder, and chopped coriander. Mix and turn off the lid, let the mixture cool down.

Now make rounds out of the dal mixture and dip it in both cornflour and besan.

In a frying pan heat oil and deep fry the balls and serve with ketchup or any dip of your choice.
