A nice thick cream sauce, made with refried beans and tomatoes is topped with some crumbled tortilla chips, fresh salsa and guacamole. This delicious dish can be found at any grocery store. It is one of my favorite meals from Mexico, and I hope you give it a try sometime.
The Classic Burrito
Another popular vegan Mexican recipe is the classic burrito. This delicious dish usually consists of black beans, rice, refried beans (or black beans baked with refried beans), some salsa, and of course some cheese. One of the great things about this Mexican dish is the variety of spices that you can add to make it more interesting and tasty. In addition to the standard peppers, onions, cilantro, tomatoes and spices, you can also add a bit of jalapeno or habanero pepper. You can also find Mexican quinoa at most health food stores.
One of the most popular vegan Mexican recipes out there is the black bean tortilla soup. I was introduced to black beans through a health food store cookbook years ago and have been hooked ever since. They are incredibly easy to make (just boil them in water until they are soft) and you can put in just about any kind of meat (vegetarians can eat black beans as well). The wonderful thing about black beans is that they have a great texture and a slightly bitter flavor.
The Classic Taco
Other vegan Mexican recipes include the classic taco; Icing on the cake is an acceptable alternative to traditional taco meat. You can also add cilantro, onions, and spicy sauces to make your tacos extra flavorful. The best way to eat these tacos is with some fresh raw vegetables and serve them with some tortilla chips and a mild salsa. A really fun way to eat the tacos is to use them as a hearty snack after the meal. It’s easy to make a delicious tacos salad with the raw vegetables and salsa.
One of my all time favorite vegan Mexican recipes is the vegan sour cream. It is so creamy and delicious. I love this recipe because you don’t have to use a lot of dairy products to get the result you want. You can buy a brand of vegan sour cream at your local grocery store or even vegan yogurt at the store.
Milk And Yogurt
If you aren’t fond of yogurt, either can be used in place of milk and yogurt. It is important to note that you can find vegan sour cream at just about any health food store. You can also create vegan Mexican recipes by spicing up your ordinary dishes. You can spice things up by adding some hot peppers or Cayenne peppers, which give these dishes a hot taste.
You can also add different spices, such as garlic powder, oregano, black pepper, basil, onion powder, cumin, or some other spices, to give these dishes a unique taste. Just remember to experiment a bit and don’t overdo it-you don’t want your food tasting too spicy.
You can even make vegan Mexican recipes more interesting by using different salsa mixes. Some people like to use jalapenos or other fiery sauces to jazz up their dishes. Other people prefer milder dishes, so they use mild sauces with their dishes.
